Tayeb Ahmadi brings a builder’s mindset to Zuma Recovery Spa, shaped by two very different disciplines: competitive soccer and enterprise IT. A forward for Texas A&M International University’s men’s soccer program, Tayeb learned early what elite athletes already know — that performance is decided as much in recovery as in training. That lesson stuck with him long after his playing days, and it’s part of what drew him to help build Zuma.

Today, Tayeb serves as Director of Information Technology, overseeing IT infrastructure and operations across a group of Texas-based businesses. He brings that same systems-minded discipline to Zuma Recovery Spa — from the technology behind bookings and client management to making sure the studio runs as smoothly behind the scenes as the recovery experience feels up front.

Tayeb has stayed close to the sport that shaped him, coaching with the Amaanah Lions soccer program and mentoring young athletes off the field. That connection to Laredo’s athletic community is a big part of why Zuma exists: a recovery studio built by people who understand, firsthand, what it takes to keep showing up.
